Tarrgg

The Tarrgg, counterparts to the Vaks in the Vaks-Tarrgg alliance, form the second intellectual species originating from the shared VaksTarrg homeworld. Genetically closely related to the Vaks, the Tarrgg are recognized for their distinct warrior nature ingrained in their societal roles. Their intellectual capabilities might not match those of the Vaks, yet they stand out for their impressive physical constitution, larger bodies, and their almost rigid, husk-like outer skin that provides robust protection against harsh environments and predatory threats.

The cultural dynamic between the Vaks and Tarrgg is one of symbiosis, a deep-seated bond born out of a shared homeworld and common DNA. The Tarrgg, thanks to their superior physical attributes, played the role of protectors in the early stages of their evolution. On the other hand, the intellectually superior Vaks laid the foundation of their shared civilization, propelling advancements in sectors like medicine, agriculture, trade, and education. This mutual dependence and collaboration have solidified over thousands of years, forging an indomitable unity between these two species.

Vaks

The warrior culture of the Tarrgg is a point of pride not only for the Tarrgg themselves but also for the Vaks, with whom they share a deep and symbiotic bond. Tarrgg warriors, with their inherent bravery and prowess, are esteemed figures within the Vaks-Tarrgg society, often celebrated as heroes. This admiration for Tarrgg warriors transcends the boundaries of their own species, exemplifying the unity and mutual respect that exists between them. The valour and skill of Tarrgg warriors hold a revered place in the shared cultural narrative, underscoring their importance in the Vaks-Tarrgg society.

Physical Description

Physically, the Tarrgg are marked by their larger build in comparison to the Vaks. Their skin embodies various shades of violet, with the husk-like outer layer exhibiting darker hues and the softer, underlying skin portraying lighter tints. Their heads, reminiscent of their Vaks brethren, showcase an elliptical configuration that expands upward towards the rear, a feature emblematic of their species. The Tarrgg are equipped with four sets of eyelids, a physical characteristic shaped by evolution. Similarly to the Vaks, they boast unique nodules called Cor-nen stationed above each temple, roughly 7 centimetres in diameter. However, in contrast to the Vaks, these nodules in the Tarrgg have undergone an evolutionary shift over time, losing their sensitivity and developing a thorny or horn-like appearance. This distinct physical trait bestows upon the Tarrgg a unique and formidable presence.

Subspecies

Contrary to the Vaks, the Tarrgg exhibit no genetic diversifications. Despite their geographical dispersal akin to the Vaks, they display a uniformity in their skin pigmentation. This lack of variance in their genetic makeup and physical characteristics emphasises the Tarrgg's remarkable biological consistency across different environments and regions.

Average Life Span

Life span average: 220 years

Reaches Maturity

Tarrgg mature at an exceptionally accelerated pace compared to other species, attaining physical adulthood within the brief span of 8 years. Despite this rapid physical maturation, their mental development continues at a more measured pace, often extending well into their fifties. Nevertheless, in Tarrgg society, they are recognized as adults from as early as 12 years of age, at which point they are deemed fit for combat and other adult responsibilities.
